On the North shore of Canyon Lake there is a cave entrance
below the normal water level, and every seven or 13 years there seems to be
a drought that uncovers this cave, and a passage from this cave leads to a second cave 37 feet above the
water level of the lake. On the far wall of the second cave, there are two
doors. One door is plain wood, the other is some type of stone with an inscription
on it, "QUIESCENTEM NE MOVETO".
The inscription on the door is fascinating, and apparently has been taken seriously because
there are no marks indicating it has ever been opened or disturbed. Try the door to the left.
